Mushrooms & more

Hey everyone!
Finally, I’ve got around to writing my first blog — something I’ve been meaning to do for a while, but as usual, time seems to run away with me!

I’ve been feeling so calm with the change from summer to autumn. I missed it last year while travelling around South America, so it feels even more special to see the leaves turning, mushrooms popping up everywhere, and what seems like a year’s worth of apples this season! While I was travelling, I often thought about how much I missed the seasons at home. Not just for the weather (I don't do well in the heat!!) , but also the different produce that comes with each one.

Living in Devon at this time of year feels like such a blessing — the blustery seas, the crisp coastal air, and those fantastic views of green hills when out walking make this change of season even more magical.

Everything in the studio seems to be slowing down as the weather cools and the air grows damper, pots are taking much longer to dry. With a Christmas market on the horizon (more about that soon!), I’m starting to worry whether I’ll have enough ready in time. I’ve got lots planned though, new designs, fresh glazes and I’ll keep you all updated with my progress! I’m also really excited to share that a limited collection of my egg trays are now available at the wonderful Darts Farm. Darts Farm is a fantastic, family-run business that celebrates the very best of seasonality and community.. If you’re in Devon, they’re definitely worth a visit!

As for cooking, I’ve really been enjoying experimenting with different recipes and flavours. One current favourite is my Butternut Squash, Sage & Feta Orzo, a wonderfully warming dish that’s super easy to make. You can find the recipe in the Recipe section of my page.

That's it from me (for now)!
